Kim Fe Cramer

PHD CANDIDATE, COLUMBIA BUSINESS SCHOOL

I am a PhD Candidate in Finance and Economics at Columbia Business School. I study how the financial sector drives progress in developing countries. In my job market paper, I use a nationwide natural experiment in India to examine the impact of bank presence on health. In a series of randomized controlled trials in Kenya, I ask whether health insurance should be subsidized. I am on the U.S. and European job market.

I recently presented at the CEPR European Conference on Household Finance (receiving the PhD Student Prize). I will next present at the Eastern Finance Association and the Midwest Economics Association Meeting. You can also learn about my research on the World Bank Development Impact Blog and the Podcast

Ideas of India.
