Kim Fe Cramer

LSE FINANCE

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

I am an Assistant Professor at the LSE Finance Department. I obtained my Ph.D. from Columbia Business School. As an empirical researcher in household finance, I explore how we can leverage financial systems in developing countries to support households in addressing pressing challenges around poverty, health, and climate.

In my job market paper, I use a policy of the Reserve Bank of India to show that banks can substantially improve households' health status. I show novel evidence that banks offer health insurance to households and credit to hospitals, stimulating the demand and supply side of the healthcare market.

I will next present at University of Manchester Nov 9th, and Queen Mary University Nov 20th. You can also learn about my research on the World Bank Development Impact Blog and VoxDev.
