LSE FINANCE
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
I am an Assistant Professor at the LSE Finance Department. I recently obtained my Ph.D. from Columbia Business School. I study how the financial sector drives progress in developing countries. In my job market paper, I use a nationwide natural experiment in India to examine the impact of bank presence on health. In a series of randomized controlled trials in Kenya, I ask whether health insurance should be subsidized.
I will next present at NTU Singapore March 21, NUS Singapore March 22, the German Center for Development Research (ZEF) April 9, CEPR Advanced Forum for Financial Economics May 9, Boulder Summer Conference May 21-23, SFS Cavalcade May 22-25, the Rome Junior Finance Conference June 15-16, and SAET Paris July 17. You can also learn about my research on the World Bank Development Impact Blog.
