Kim Fe Cramer
LSE FINANCE DEPARTMENT
PROSPECTIVE ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
I am going to join the LSE Finance Department as an Assistant Professor this Fall. I recently obtained my Ph.D. from Columbia Business School. I study how the financial sector drives progress in developing countries. In my job market paper, I use a nationwide natural experiment in India to examine the impact of bank presence on health. In a series of randomized controlled trials in Kenya, I ask whether health insurance should be subsidized.
I will next present at the NOVAFRICA Conference on Economic Development in Lisbon June 22nd to 23rd, the Household Finance Workshop in Frankfurt July 8th to 9th, and the European Economics Association Meeting in Milan August 22nd to 26th. You can also learn about my research on the World Bank Development Impact Blog and the Podcast Ideas of India.
